Victoria Morrison-Hughes

Director

Victoria is a qualified Costs Lawyer with a degree in accountancy and finance, coupled with extensive experience working as a lawyer in high street practice provides Victoria with unique insight into both the operational and technical demands of a legal business. Her main areas of expertise include commercial litigation, clinical negligence, catastrophic injury, Court of Protection and solicitor & own client disputes together with Costs management and negotiations. Victoria’s primary focus is on providing excellent client care and service where her priority rests on quality and ensuring clients receive a bespoke service.
Victoria prides herself on developing strong working relationships with her clients with a “we are in this together mentality”. Passionate about client care whilst she is well versed technically, she does not get caught up in legal arguments for the sake of it. At all times Victoria seeks to achieve the most commercial practical outcome for her clients.

Victoria is always a well prepared and proficient advocate when it is required. A testimony to Victoria’s skill set in both advocacy and client care and a fact of which she is particularly proud is that her most long-standing client was on boarded following her opposing him on detailed assessment. She has established over the years a core set of clients gained principally through recommendation/word of mouth renowned for her practical, no nonsense commercial and collaborative approach.

Dominic Swift

Costs Lawyer

Dom began working in the legal industry in 1999 – occupying various roles in a large local law firm, before moving into costs permanently, in early 2004.

Dom has diverse experience in costs litigation from cradle-to-grave, from budgeting, all the way through to assessment. He has substantial experience in high-value clinical negligence, commercial, personal injury and, professional negligence sectors and has delivered costs training to both costs practitioners and professional clients alike.

Dom qualified as a Cost Lawyer in 2012 and has previously managed a team of draftsmen at a national firm. Dom has a keen interest in deploying IT solutions, to achieve improved management information and visibility for clients and, in a never-ending quest to improve efficiency.

Federica Whitefoot “Fed”

Client and Legal Support

Originally from Sicily, Fed relocated permanently to the UK in 2010 Fed has dual nationality and is fluent in 5 languages. Fed brings her exceptional organisational skills and tenacity which together with her passion for client care and a “job well done” makes her an excellent addition to the team in her role of both client and legal support.

Fed’s passions outside work are interior design, live performances, and reading. Previously Fed was a language teacher in secondary schools.

Nick Bailey

Senior Costs Draftsman

Nick brings his extensive experience in costs, acting for both Claimants and Defendants. He deals with complex, high-value claims. He has particular expertise in personal injury cases, including clinical negligence, along with substantial experience across a broad spectrum of areas in costs, including commercial and professional disputes, actions against a public body and Court of Protection.  He is also well versed in costs management both preparing and negotiating Precedent H Costs Budgets and attending Costs Case Management Conferences when required.

Nick offers “cradle to grave” support to all his clients to include preparing Bills of Costs, Points of Dispute, Points of Reply and conducting advocacy.  He is passionate, as we all are at Integral Legal Costs, about protecting the client and maximising recoveries; taking great pride in providing a high-quality and bespoke service to clients.

Nick Kitchen

Nick has been in the legal profession since the age of 16 becoming a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 1997.  In 1998 Nick started to combine his civil litigation work experience with Costs.

Nick has extensive In-house and external costs experience with considerable advocacy experience including hearings in the SCCO. Nick is technically brilliant in all things costs and regularly provides in-house and client training on all aspects of costs litigation.

Nick joined Integral Legal Costs in 2022 and is a fantastic addition to the team; very much a “safe pair of hands”.

Steven Kenyon

Costs Lawyer

Steve has almost 20 years’ experience working in legal costs and qualified as a Cost Lawyer in 2013. Steve prides himself on providing a first class service to the client in all aspects of costs from budgeting through to detailed assessment. Steve has experience in a wide range of matters – both paying and receiving party – which has provided invaluable insight into how different firms work and how different types of litigation are best progressed from a costs perspective. Steve has a detail orientated approach and gives every matter the same care and attention, regardless of the amount of costs involved. Steve has extensive experience of Costs Budgeting and is an experienced advocate.
